Just Came to my Email- Senior Housing Resource

A new edition of the 12-page booklet entitled, “Senior Housing – What You Need to Know” is now available through the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and SNAPforSeniors.

The Center for Special Needs Trust Administration and The Center for Medicare Set-Aside Administration generously sponsored the printing of this booklet in recognition of the crucial role that knowledge plays in the important decision making process of selecting senior housing.

The booklet is intended for distribution to seniors, their families, friends and advocates as a primer outlining the factors one should consider when thinking about a move into senior housing.

You may order a quantity of the booklets at no cost to have on hand for distribution.

The companion to this educational booklet is the NAELA Senior Housing Locator, a comprehensive, objective Web-based decision-support tool including more than 60,000 listings of senior housing communities, a home health directory with quality indicators and resources to help consumers and professionals simplify the process.

Order Booklets

If you have any questions or feedback please e-mail SNAPforSeniors or call 206-575-0728 x2013. We look forward to continuing to provide you with resources and tools that empower you to effectively serve your clients.

Sincerely,

Fun Night Part TWO- A Night in Provence (or Beverly, MA)

Eileen Berman and Stephen (continuing to entertain) are discussing French food by the wines.
Heather from Essex Park and Lisa Furtado from Right at Home are chatting it up in the top picture.

Dinner is served!

Fun Night- Eurostoves

NO, Francine and Lynne did not have to go get a rooster for our Night in Provence cooking class, but I just saw that picture and I thought it would be funny. Right at Home and our terrific referral sources had a great night of cooking, eating and drinking at Eurostoves last week.

Phyllis from the Atrium baked dessert with her colleague Ruth and Sharyn Russell.

Below we see the crew from New England Rehab and Stephen Spano and Lynne Nieman from Right at Home. Stephen chose to spend his time entertaining the hard working cooks!

Bathing Without A Battle

This week Beacon Hospice was in my office speaking about the Bathing Without a Battle, a bathing program for dementia clients. It focuses around figuring out how to achieve cleanliness without causing anxiety in our patients....I just bought the video to check out with our staff.

Right at Home Leadership Council

I had the pleasure of spending a few days on a cruise with the Right at Home Leadership Council last week. This group consists of the top 18 Right at Home franchises in the country. Jay and I spend time with our peers exchanging information about the different regions in the country and how we can all better serve the seniors in our respective areas. They are a great group of people and it really is a pleasure to work with them. Senior care can be a competitive undertaking and it is so nice to meet with people that all have the same concerns and serve their marketplace with integrity.
